Glogster – Poster Yourself | New Info

Gloster EDU

I was sent this update from Glogster EDU and thought I should pass it along:

As of February 28th, Glogster will begin limiting its free education accounts to 100 students.

If you are like me, you teach more than 100 students in a day.  If you sign up for your account before the deadline, you can still get 200 student accounts.

As I have stated before, I think that Glogster is an excellent tool for enhancing Dan Pink’s Design aptitude.  Sometimes I will have students create a story, and then use Glogster as an online movie poster promoting their story.

At other times I focus on Symphony from Pink’s A Whole New Mind. I simply have students create a poster from the time period we are studying.  They can research and find video, photos, and audio to include in their poster.  They look at the overall information that they can access, and then decide how to connect the dots.

If you follow this link you can download the teacher resource library that is available on the site.  I have not personally looked through this new feature, but it looks promising.  If you download the Glogster resource library, please leave us a comment about your thoughts.
