Here is a quick read about a middle school that uses video games to teach their entire curriculum.

This is definitely along the lines of Dan Pink’s Play aptitude from A Whole New Mind.  Plus, I think that it taps into the concept of Mastery that Pink describes in Drive.

I think there is value in the use of curriculum-based video games.  It is learning-on-demand and adds context with hands-on application.
