Six Word Stories over John Lennon’s Assassination

Also in the Decades Collection from the History Channel was the story of John Lennon’s assassination. Students knew who John Lennon was, but very few knew that he had been murdered, much less any information about the assassin.
I think the true power of the Six Word Story is relayed in the fact that students can remember these six words quite easily. They may not have immense detail, but they are overviews of something that students knew nothing about.

Listed words:
Mark Chapman
Guitarist-Beatles
“Catcher in the Rye”
16 year-old son Julian
J.D. Salinger

Six Word Story:
Chapman kills Lennon over Salinger’s book.
