How the iPhone Could Reboot Education | Gadget Lab | Wired.com.

This has got to be the future of education.  Integrating the I-phone and utilizing it in education would be an engaging challenge.

But what a great example of the need to develop the Symphony aptitude from A Whole New Mind.  As you read through the article, make a mental note of what students are expected to do:  Research, evaluate resources, participate in discussion, partake in classroom polls.  And they need to take all of this information and find a central theme.  I would call that Symphony.

This article also drew me back to an earlier post about utilizing the back channel.  I’m not sure how this will turn out, but it looks like Abilene Christian University is hitting it head-on.  In my opinion we all should take this approach and find ways to use new technologies in the classroom.  After all, when they leave our buildings, they are facing a world that will inundate them with information and ever-changing technology.  The least we could do for our students is to give them a fighting chance.
